Hope for the furture

Though there are many peace talk groups it's not enough to end this and most of the humanitarian workers are being targeted and killed. A man who went to Darfur said that the people spoke of toddlers being burnt alive in villages as men on horseback burned their houses to the ground, and of women being raped. Also the Darfur problem is also spreading to Chad where Darfur rebels attempted to overthrow Chad's president. Many experts do not see a end to this soon.

Refugee camps for Darfur victims

The Darfur situation is bad but the refugee camps aren't getting better. Since there are so many people the rations have been cut, so most of the people there have no health service, and not enough food. With all the violence outside the refugee camps many of the people living there have smuggled guns into the camps. children, women, and men are learning how to use these weapens.

Death and homelessness in Darfur

More than 2m people have been left homeless in Darfur since fighting broke out in 2003 when rebels took up arms, while some 200,000 have found saftey in Chad. Most people put the number of deaths at 200,000; Sudan's government says 9,000, while the UN estimates it is at about 300,000. The Janjaweed are mainly at fault for all the deaths.
